This project was born out of road trips to clubs in bigger cities, which brought the question of “Why can’t it just exist here?” In June 2023, Megobar was transformed into a club with doors opening at 20:00 with 2-3 DJ’s playing each event. Bjaminoli events are held bi-monthly, with students attending free of charge.
To further support decentralization, a DJ school was founded in February 2024, inviting guests from DJ Community school in Tbilisi to hold a 2-week training curriculum. Students have access to free practice spaces, connections to mentors in their field, and opportunities for vocational development. In November 2024, we are currently accepting applications for the 2nd DJ class. Graduating students have not only played in Zugdidi, but in Kutaisi and Tbilisi, as well as internationally in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Bjaminoli events are “safe spaces”, allowing attendees to move freely, without use of camera or video.

Vision
Decentralizing resources allows for youth living in Samegrelo region to have equal opportunities for growth and development. Projects provide opportunities for mentorship where youth can take on increased leadership roles and gain experience in a project of interest.
Mission
To empower local youth with increased choices for vocational development and recreational activities by removing financial and logistical barriers (e.g. Distances, high cost of studio rental spaces, equipment expenses). The DJ school allows for interested individuals with a passion in the music field to apply and attend our school and use our practice spaces free of cost.
Values
Partner organizations chosen have shared interests in youth education, mentorship, skill development, understand the value in networking and building a community space, and creating sustainable project outcomes that continue to grow and develop over time.
